Maybe someone viewing this can identify the piece of equipment it came from? And maybe even describe why a certain amount of SWR is OK to call “0”? Or maybe the meter reads capacitive and inductive reactance as low and high? Or as David, K0LUM suggests: “SWR” may not even mean Standing Wave Ratio…maybe?
Somehow the email address was removed from my comment. It is sales@granitestatemfg.com
Different company name, but may have changed over the years, thanks!

Looks like it’s the same company. Apparently they made various ship antenna and matching systems for the Navy at one point. Stuff like this: http://www.virhistory.com/navy/manuals/sra16-man-92839.pdf
Neat.
Thanks for the link, I love old military stuff, used to have a surplus WWII radar test set when I was young. It made a dandy Oscope…

If you go here and scroll down to the AN/SRA-18 Antenna tuner (made by Granite and someone else), it kinda looks like one of the meters for the control monitor unit for that system. http://www.virhistory.com/navy/xmtr-tuner.htm
Great find! Hard to see detail in some of those pics, but I think you are on to the right place…
Thanks!
