PAE xxx-xxx1P-120 UQUI (Ultra-Quiet, Ultra Isolation) Transformer

10 KVA UQUI in NEMA 1 enclosure

The PAE UQUI Transformer series is designed specifically for powering audio and video production and editing suites.  It has a special core material and design which emits extremely low audible noise or chassis-borne vibrations.

Due to its double shields with very low inter-shield capacitance, it offers extremely high common-mode noise rejection, extremely low primary to secondary capacitance and has excellent voltage regulation over a wide range of loads.

The transformers can be ordered in NEMA type 1 or 3 cases depending on the particular application.  The PAE Ultra-Isolation transformer is electrician-friendly and features easy to access and terminate terminal lugs for all connections. A ground buss is supplied mounted inside the enclosure to make ground connections convenient.

Each transformer is a custom unit manufactured to our customer’s specifications to ensure optimum performance and value. We have supplied UQUI transformers ranging from 5 KVA to 50 KVA and others are available as requested. Send an email to: info@proaudioeng.com to request further information or to schedule a consult.

CONNECTIONS:

The PAE transformer is designed to take customer specified 208 V or 240 V AC, 60 Hz, and output 120 V.  It can be used in a normal transverse or balanced configuration.

In a normal transverse configuration the L1/L2 terminal is to be connected to both L1 & L2 in the Technical Power Breaker Panel.  The N terminal is connected to both Neutral and Ground per NEC 250.30 for Separately Derived Systems.

In a balanced configuration the transformer will supply 60 VAC from L1/L2 to CT, and 60 VAC from N to CT.  There will be 120 VAC between terminals L1/L2 and N. The CT terminal shall be grounded per NEC 647.6(A).  All circuit breakers in this configuration shall be GFCI 2-pole breakers of the appropriate amp rating.  All balanced power receptacles must be unique and incompatible with regular NEMA 5-15 receptacles per NEC 647.7(A)4.
