10/25/2015 – After several interminable delays getting vendors up to speed with parts for the Kx35 Mobile Mount for the KX3, we are nearing a final revision.  We won’t bore you with the details, but suffice it to say we had production issues with both the stainless steel baseplate and the polymer parts.  This is nothing unusual in manufacturing, but it sure costs time and money.  However that situation with the baseplate is now resolved and the end result is a fantastic-looking and functioning black-oxided stainless steel baseplate which all components are mounted on.  Rev5 of polymer parts are on the way here for evaluation.  More details in the up coming weeks.  We apologize to all who have indicated interest for the long delay.

2/11/2015 – FREE SHIPPING!  That’s right, unfortunately we are cancelling our booth at the Orlando HamCation.  Our stock is still held up in the Port of Los Angeles, thanks to a longshoreman’s strike.  We are sad we will not be meeting some of you face to face, but we would like to extend Free Shipping to all US customers through the end of the month.  Unfortunately, we cannot extend this offer to our overseas customers.

2/8/2015 – We are anticipating arrival of the Kx33 Power Supply this week.  The west coast longshoreman work slowdown has resulted in over a week delay in receiving this shipment.  With the information we currently have we should see the supplies by Monday, February 16.  Please be aware of this delay when ordering.

1/28/2015 – Thanks in part to a large surge in sales during the holiday season, we are now temporarily out of stock on our PAE-Kx33 Power Supply.  The factory says the next batch will be here and ready to send to you in 10 days.  Please be aware of this delay when ordering.

1/21/2015 – In response to customer inquiries regarding removal of the new Elecraft Enhanced Heatsink KX3HSMDKT, we purchased a retrofit kit and installed it.  Read about it by clicking on the FAQ tab on the PAE-Kx31 Basic Heatsink page here.

12/2/2014 – Our Kx33 Power Supply is receiving excellent reviews and selling very well.  We are rapidly finalizing Rev4 of our PAE-Kx35 Mobile Mount for the KX3, and are 3D printing prototype parts for it this week.  Expect a product announcement early in 2015.

11/14/2014 – We now have excellent stock on our fully-molded #33-100 KX3 & PX3 DC Power Splitter.  We no longer incorporate a sliding cinch, we are using a fixed cinch which we find holds the two cables in alignment even better.

11/5/2014 – As planned we now have excellent stock on the Kx31 Heatsink for the Elecraft KX3.  All back orders have been shipped, and its back to business as usual; new orders will be filled within 24 hours.  Invest in one of these well-engineered accessories for your KX3 and largely forget about thermal limitations when running digital modes.

10/29/2014 – Thanks to an overwhelming number of orders, we are very temporarily out of stock on the PAE-Kx31 Heatsink Kit for the Elecraft KX3.  The new run of the little beauties are machined and at the anodizers.  The anodizer states they will ship Monday November 3, we expect stock on or around November 5th, so the delay will be a week or less.  Thank you so much for your orders and patience!

10/16/2014 – We had a request to provide a fix for the Elecraft K2 internal battery charger issue.  The stock charger is a resistor in series with the battery as a result the power supply voltage has to be 14.0 +/- 0.2V or the battery life is compromised.  If you are interested read more here.  We will have two fixes available shortly, see our Kx33 Power Supply Accessories page for details.  Also, we have had queries regarding our Kx35 Mobile Mount for the Elecraft KX3.  Although we were very happy with that third revision, we are re-imagining it to bring down the manufacturing cost.  We feel most KX3 owners in the market for a mobile mount will not want to spend over $300 just for a mount, which is what our final cost was on the rev 3.  Obviously everyone would like to get one for free, but seriously: what would you be willing to pay for a mobile mount?  Let us know: [email protected]

10/13/2014 – We are negotiating with several independent testing laboratories to  perform a series of tests to several popular heatsinks for the Elecraft KX3.  We are limiting the tests to those which directly apply to usage of the rig.

10/9/2014 – We have had requests to provide adapters for some Ten-Tec rigs which use the 2-pin AMP Mate-N-Lok connector, so as soon as we can get these made we will be offering them in the Kx33 Accessories section.  Also, we have updated the Kx33 page to note that the stock 5.5mm x 2.1mm right-angle connector on the Kx33 is correct for the Elecraft K1, K2 as well as the KX3 .  Regarding the DC Power jack to APP Adapter, our customers overwhelmingly told us to stay with the real APP connector, so we will be doing just that.  We expect to deplete old stock sometime in the next week and will start selling the new stock for $8.90.  The quality and performance will be preserved by this increase.

10/3/2014 – We have received new pricing from the supplier of the #33-160 PowerPole to DC Adapter.  We will be increasing the price to $8.90 when the new stock arrives in order to stay with real Anderson Power Pole connectors.  We think our customers will agree with the decision, what do you think?  Let us know : [email protected]

10/2/2014 – We are gratified by the overwhelming response to the Kx33 Power Supply.  Initial reports verify what we knew from our testing that there is no RF noise added by the supply.  In preparation for another manufacturing run of the #33-100 KX3 & PX3 DC Power Splitter cables, we want people’s feedback on whether the length is just right for the neatest cabling of power to the Elecraft KX3 and PX3.  Meanwhile we have good stock of the current design which is selling well, as is the Kx31 basic Heatsink for the Elecraft KX3.  There must be a bunch of people readying for contest season out there!

9/26/2014 – We have received another batch of the #33-100 KX3 & PX3 DC Power Splitter cables!  Please see the Accessories tab on the Kx33 Product page for more information and to order.  Thanks to all you people who are buying the Kx33, we hope you are extremely satisfied with the results of our engineering efforts.  If you have any comments please do not hesitate to send them to: [email protected]

9/24/2014 –  The demand for the PAE-Kx33 AC Power Supply and accessories has been overwhelming, the PAE-Kxz33 AC Power Supply is in stock and selling briskly!  We are already sold out of the first run of the KX3 & PX3 DC Power Splitter which is the second most popular accessory after the PowerPole adapter, so apparently a lot of you are getting the PX3.  More are on order and expected no later than 2 weeks from today.  Our ordering system is currently not able to take backorders, so please check back soon to order.

9/23/2014 –  The PAE-Kx33 AC Power Supply initial manufacturing run has arrived!  They are currently in final acceptance testing and performing great!  We will now start taking orders for this innovative, lightweight supply.  Please see our product page for ordering information.  We have also added a full line of useful accessories for this supply which can be viewed and ordered on our Kx33 product page in the Accessories tab.

9/2/2014 – We have been asked for comments on the aftermarket KX3 Heatsink review conducted for VE7FMN, please read the FAQ at the bottom of our PAE-Kx31 Product page for more.  Also, the results of testing the production prototype PAE-Kx33 against other compact switchers have been posted on the PAE-Kx33 Product page.

9/1/2014 – Manufacturing has started on the innovative PAE-Kx31 AC Power Supply for the Elecraft™ KX3 and other rigs.  As soon as we get a firm ship date we will enable the add-to-cart-button-blue button and begin taking orders!

8/20/2014 – Our factory is now stating the first week of September for the start of PAE-Kx33 AC Power Supply manufacturing.  With this holding true we should have stock by September 15 or so.  Employing contract manufacturing has it’s ups and downs; on one hand you get the efficiency, lower pricing and experience of an established production facility.  On the flip side you lose some of the control over scheduling.  For those who are planning to purchase or are interested in the supply’s performance, we will be posting the final test results soon, comparing the Kx33 against several widely used supplies, as well as a linear supply and a battery.  This break in the action has allowed us to get our engineers back on the other products in development like the Mobile Mount and a ground-breaking product which the digital folks will love.

8/6/2014 – We are awaiting a firm ship date any day for the Kx33 from the factory, component availability is the hold-up.  When we do hear the date, it will be posted here first.  The last update was mid-August, but given shipping times, we are now most likely looking at early September.  Stay tuned, this supply has been a long time coming, but the wait will be worth it.

7/31/2014 – We just received a fresh batch of Kx31 Heatsinks and are kitting them up for your transmitting pleasure!  We are awaiting a shipping update on the Kx33 Power Supply from our manufacturer, who is now pushing delivery into mid-August, and we will keep this page up-to-date with delivery dates and other news.

7/23/2014 – Our entire site is now fully 256-bit SSL encrypted for your protection while browsing and purchasing.

Our most recent product is the tiny and RF-quiet PAE-Kx33 AC power supply.  It is specifically designed to power portable HF transceivers like the Elecraft™ KX3 and others requiring a 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC power plug.

We are also finalizing the design of the PAE-Kx35 Mobile Mount for the Elecraft KX3 Transciever.  We beta tested the prototype over 5,000 miles in several vehicles and the newest redesign addresses all comments raised by the beta testers, brutal and ham-fisted as they were!  We are cutting metal on the final prototype this week.

Also, in response to many questions about the PAE-Kx31 Heatsink Kit, and heatsinks in general, we composed a FAQ located at the bottom of the Kx31 page.
